Any new providers added to your practice will need to have their Electronic Prescribing Permissions configured to be able to successfully send out eRx. If these permissions are not configured, you will see the following error message:
To configure electronic prescription permissions, open the EZDERM EHR and please follow these steps:
- An Admin user must log into the EHR
- Go to Settings -> Practice
- Scroll down until you see a section titled "ELECTRONIC PRESCRIBING (SURESCRIPTS)" and tap on "User and Clinic Service Levels"
- Tap on the provider's name, then tap on the red plus sign (+) in the top right corner to get a list of Clinics at your practice. Tap on the clinic(s) that the provider will be working out of and sending prescriptions from. You will see a checkmark appear next to the clinic name(s) and then tap Done in the top right.
- On the subsequent screen, you are taken to, tap on the name of the Clinic(s) and this will allow you to select which prescription permissions you want to give to the provider. We recommend selecting "New Rx" and "Refill." You can also select "Change" and "Cancel" if you want to allow the doctor and staff to send Change and Cancel requests for outgoing prescriptions they send.
- Once your selections are made (indicated by a checkmark on the right side of the screen), tap the Done button in the top right corner to save these changes. Please have the doctor and staff log out and back into the system for these changes to take effect.
