Scheduling Enhancements
PMS
We’re introducing major improvements to the Scheduler to help practices manage complex schedules with greater speed, clarity, and efficiency. These updates are ideal for multi-provider or multi-clinic workflows and are designed to simplify navigation, reduce clicks, and streamline appointment management.
How to Use:
Click the Schedule New button to access the new Scheduler. You may still access the existing Scheduler by clicking on the Schedule button, and information will be synced between the two Scheduler views until we sunset the existing Scheduler.
Side Kick – Quick Access to Patient Information
Side Kick is a new side panel designed to keep your workflow uninterrupted. Access patient details, review recent patients, and schedule appointments - all without leaving the scheduler.
How to Use:
- Open the Recent Patients tab to instantly access your latest patients.
- Search and review patient details in seconds.
- Select a patient and schedule the appointment right from the side panel - no screen switching required.
Advanced Schedule Filtering
The New Scheduler now supports highly customizable filtering options, allowing you to combine providers, clinics, and resources in ways that fit your workflow. Quickly identify open slots, build multi-clinic views, or display a provider’s linked-clinic schedule - all in just a few steps.
How to Use:
- You can create custom views, including multiple clinics, a provider’s schedule across linked clinics, or resource-based filters across one or more clinics.
- After selecting your criteria, click Confirm to refine the view by showing the full clinic schedule or breaking it down by provider or resource. Click Proceed to generate the schedule.
- All these options are available in both day and week views.
Favorite Views (Personalized Scheduler Settings)
Save your preferred scheduler configurations as Favorite Views for instant access. Whether you frequently switch between clinic groups or provider sets, your personalized views help you work faster and stay organized.
How to Use:
- Choose your clinics, providers, resources, and time-grid.
- Click the star icon to name and save your view, and optionally set it as default.
-
Manage favorites from the list - apply, rename, delete, or change defaults using the three-dot-menu.
- NOTE - Existing default settings are automatically migrated as a Favorite View.
Clinic Colors
Practice admins can now assign unique colors to individual clinics, making multi-clinic schedules easier to read at a glance.
How to Use:
- Go to General Settings - Clinic. In the Scheduling Color section, select a color using the color wheel.
- Save your selection to apply the color to that clinic’s schedule view.
- You can update or revert to the default neutral color anytime.
MACRA Quality Measure Updates (will be available starting Jan 1, 2026)
EHR
NEW Measure #226 - Tobacco Use Screening & Cessation
MACRA Measure #226 is now available to help track tobacco use screening and cessation
interventions for patients aged 12 and older. This measure captures whether patients were
screened for tobacco use during the measurement period and, if identified as tobacco users,
whether they received cessation counseling or pharmacotherapy during the measurement period
or within the prior six months.
How to Use:
When an eligible patient encounter with a qualifying E&M or CPT code is recorded,
measure #226 will appear in the Available Measures list.
Select the appropriate screening outcome and indicate whether a tobacco cessation
intervention was provided.
Tap Done to save and complete the measure.
NEW Measure #509 - Melanoma Follow-Up & Recurrence
MACRA Measure #509 is now available to track follow-up care for patients aged 18 and older with
a history of melanoma or melanoma in situ. This measure captures whether a documented
examination for melanoma recurrence was performed during the performance period and
whether a recurrence was identified.
How to Use:
When an eligible patient with a documented melanoma history and a qualifying E&M
encounter is recorded, the #509 measure will appear in the Available Measures list.
Select the appropriate option indicating whether a recurrence exam was performed, then
indicate whether recurrent melanoma was diagnosed.
Tap Done to save and complete the measure.
NOTE #1
This is an inverse performance measure - lower performance rates indicate higher-quality care.
NOTE #2
This release does not yet include MACRA measures #226 and #509 in the Quality Report, so they
will not appear when generating the Quality Report.
Both measures are available for documentation in the Linear Progress Note (LPN) - MACRA.
Support for MACRA measures #226 and #509 in the Quality Report will be added in a future release
in early 2026.
