EZPay Enhancements
New Online Payment Widget: Secure Website Payments for Patients
PMS
We are enhancing EZPay with a new Online Payment Widget feature, enabling practices to embed a secure payment option directly on their website. Patients can make payments without being redirected to an external page, and all transactions are automatically recorded in the PMS.
How to Use:
● Practices already using EZPay can request activation by emailing their practice name, website URL(s), and default Square clinic/provider names to
customersuccess@ezderm.com.
● Our team will provide a customizable code snippet that can be embedded on their website.
● Patients can securely pay using their Statement ID, Medical Record Number, or personal information.
● All submitted payments are automatically recorded in the PMS and applied to charges according to system logic.
Email Delivery Option for Online Statements
PMS
In addition to SMS, patients can now receive Online Statements and make payments via email. This gives practices more flexibility and supports patient communication preferences.
How to Use:
● Set the preferred delivery method (SMS or Email) at the practice level in Financial Settings - Online Statements, or per patient in the Patient Chart - Demographics - Preferred Statements Delivery Method field.
● Statements are delivered daily at the scheduled time.
● Email statements include a secure Date of Birth verification link, and patients can unsubscribe while still receiving recalls and appointment reminders.

Compliance Updates
Integrated Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) Screening and Data Enhancements
EHR
To meet new CMS reporting requirements, the EHR now includes a AHC-HRSN questionnaire. This structured 10-question survey captures key social determinants of health, such as living situation, food security, transportation, utilities and safety.
How to Use:
● Access the SDOH questionnaire in the Linear Progress Note (under Macra section) to document patient responses.
● Providers can set up SDOH Goals and Interventions in My Profile - Assessment & Plan or add them during encounters.
● SDOH data can be viewed and edited in Patient Chart - Problems, syncing automatically across visits for real-time management of SDOH Problems, Goals, and Interventions. ● The additional demographic field of Tribal Affiliation has been added to support standardized reporting and whole-patient care.
MACRA 2025 Update: Improved Measure Accuracy EHR
EZDERM has updated three MACRA measures: #317 (Blood Pressure Screening), #485 (Psoriasis), and #486 (Dermatitis), to align with Healthmonix’s 2025 logic, improving accuracy and compliance.
How to Use:
● Measure #317: Complete via the Numerator screen or step-by-step wizard (12 questions, up from 3). Previous answers are retained, and responses are based on documented blood pressure and encounter codes.
● Measures #485 (Psoriasis) and #486 (Dermatitis): These measures now apply to all follow-up encounters containing any diagnosis from their CMS diagnosis groups, rather than only the initial visit. Each measure is tied to the visit, ensuring consistent and accurate reporting across all subtypes.
