Renewal Workflow
If you receive an error message after you have sent an eRx, please make sure that you adhere to the following Surescripts requirements.
- Providers must respond to all pending renewal requests within 48 hours
- Failure to respond to Refill Renewal requests within 48 hours may result in an increase in faxed Renewal Requests from pharmacies and/or potential delays in patient care
- Never delete a Request message from the processing queue without a response being generated to the pharmacy within the 48 hour window
