Within EZDERM, certain roles such as Aestheticians and Nurse Practitioners can have their accounts configured so that progress notes for their patients require a doctor's co-signature to finalize the note. Once the aesthetician, NP, etc. chooses to sign the note and send it to a provider for cosigning, they have the option to select which doctor in the practice will be the one who this progress note is sent to.
If the wrong provider is selected accidentally, you can make the correction and reassign it to the desired provider by following these steps:
1. From within the account of the provider for whom this progress note was sent to, in error, for cosigning, find the patient's appointment and open that patient's appointment card from the schedule.
2. In the bottom-right corner of the screen, the provider will tap on the red text that says "Remove Me" to unassign themselves from the patient's encounter team.
3. From within the account of the doctor who wishes to be assigned to that progress note as a cosigner, open up the patient's appointment card.
4. In the bottom-right corner of the screen, the provider will tap on the red text that says "Assign To Me" and choose the option for "CoSigning Provider"
This provider will now be able to cosign this patient's progress note to finalize it.
