The best way to make sure that there are no open notes is to run an Appointments Report based on appointment status. This will provide you a list of any notes where the patient arrived in the office based on their status and the note still has not been signed off.
You can set the date range, a specific provider or all providers, and then select the following statuses: Ready for Staff, With Staff, Ready for Provider, With Provider, Ready for Check Out, Pending Cosign, Ready for Check Out, and Checked Out.
Please Note: Any appointment that is in any of the above statuses will appear within the Inbox on the EHR in the incomplete note folder. A good tip for the front desk is at the end of the day make sure to change the status of all appointments to checked out so that the provider sees it in their incomplete note folder. Providers can also utilize our Ezboard "Incomplete" tab when signing off on their notes, which will also show all of the appointments for that current day in the checked out status.
