Consents can be used for multiple purposes and can be categorized four ways within the system: One Time, Encounter Specific, Procedure Specific, and Medication History Specific. We will focus on the Encounter Specific Consents.
On the EHR, start by uploading a consent in your Settings. Select Practice then scroll down and select Consents.
Once you select Consents, you can add a consent by selecting the plus sign in the top left corner.
In the "Create New Consent" screen, you will be able to enter the Title, Cosigner Types, and the Consent Text. Along with these categories, you will be able to select the "Frequency of Signing". Select Encounter Specific.
After the consent has been added, go to your History Module within your Account Settings, and select your Complaint Template you would like to add your newly created consent to by selecting the Information Icon.
Select Consent Profiles and add the consent that you created.
This consent will now be generated when you schedule a patient with the specified Complaint Type. This will be seen in the patient's Appointment Card and in their Alert icon within the Progress Note.
