SMS/Text Message Biopsy Reminders

SMS/Text Message Biopsy Reminders are a helpful and easy way to reach out to patients once their biopsy results are received.

The content of the SMS does not contain the biopsy results. The message only informs the patient that the result(s) have been received and to contact the practice for details about the results.

If the clinic is signed up for Appointment Reminders, a biopsy reminder can be sent from the Inbox. When a provider creates a To-Do Task from the Pending Review folder, if the patient has their mobile number in their patient Demographics, the SMS option will be available in the upper right-hand corner of the To-Do section, for the assignee or anybody that has been copied on the To-Do to send a message. 

To send the message, press the Red SMS icon.  Once the message has been sent, the SMS icon will be grey.
