For the iPads that are up at the front desk, you will want to download the EZ Check In App from the App Store.
When a new patient comes in you will scan the patient's QR code (see instructions below) and hand the iPad to the patient. This will automatically change the patient's appoint status to "Arrived." The patient will sign consents, enter their medical history, among other things on the iPad. All of this information will automatically upload into their note. Once he/she hits finish his/her status will automatically change to "Ready for Staff" alerting the clinical staff via EZBOARD that the patient is ready to be picked up from the waiting room.
The EZ Check In App does not need to be given every time the patient comes in. It should be given to new patients and patients who have not been seen recently. In this second case, it will populate all the information that was entered at their last appointment that they can look through to make sure nothing has changed.
