To utilize the First Available Appointment option, you need to have created an Appointment Series. Once the Appointment Series is created, double-click on the schedule to bring up the New Appointment screen. Select your patient and Chief Complaint then select "First Available Appointment" in the upper right-hand corner.
You can filter for different information, such as appointment type, date of service, duration, start time, clinic, and/or provider. The results underneath the filter will show the first available appointment based on that criteria.
If more options are available, you can view them by pressing Load more at the bottom of the screen.
Once the appointment is saved, the time will no longer be listed in the First Available Appointment screen.
