To edit the claim overriding settings, click on the practice logo in the upper left-hand corner then click into your Billing Configurations. From here, you will be able to view all billing configurations, and can tap into any of them to update or apply your override settings.
Some of the fields you will be able to override include NPI, Federal Tax ID, Billed to Name, etc. Please also note that you must choose which clinic you would like to have these settings applied to.
Once the clinic and override field(s) have been entered and you save your changes, you will then be able to see these updates pull on the appropriate patient encounters and claims.
From your patients chart, choose Encounters, and then add new encounter.
When entering the information in on the new encounter, make sure you are filling out all the required fields which are highlighted below in red. Please note that in order to automatically pull over the billing configuration override settings that you applied, you will need to choose the proper location.
Once all of this information has been entered, you will see the information that you added in under the billing configuration under the Additional Information tab at the bottom of the encounter. From here, you will check off ready to print, and post, and then you will see the additional information pull on the CMS 1500 form.
