Resource Schedule Only

In this article, we showed you how to link appointment types to resources. However, in the Appointment Types settings, you will see a checkbox for Resource Schedule Only which can allow for an additional level of customization. If the checkbox is selected, then any time a patient is scheduled with this specific appointment type, that appointment will only show up on the resource calendar and not block a time slot on the provider’s calendar. 

Once the appointment type is marked as Resource Schedule Only, you can schedule patients only from the resource page on schedule by double clicking on any available appointment slot within the resource page. Once scheduled, you will notice that these type of appointments will not block any appointment time slots on the provider's schedule.  These will also not affect any of the appointment series. Please note, that this will also work and apply to the iPad and iPhone as well.
