Pathology Billing

When pathology reports are signed off in the EHR using EZDERM's Pathology Module, a billing encounter is created in the Practice Management System under Encounters. From the PMS, you will see the ICD-10 and CPT codes that are generated from using the pathology shorthands and pathology panels.  The billing encounter will list the provider that performed the biopsies as the referring physician, and the billing and attending provider is the pathologist who signed off on the pathology report.
