A follow up is used to specify when a patient will be seen after an initial encounter. It can be seen by double clicking on the appointment on the PMS and it will be listed towards the bottom or on the EHR underneath the consents section in the Appointment Card.
There are two ways to create Follow Ups: within a treatment plan and by tapping the Follow-up Icon (see below).
Treatment Plan:
When in a treatment plan, scroll down towards the bottom and tap Follow Up. You will then be prompted to select a "New Follow Up" and add the time and a note. From then on, when using the treatment plan, a follow up will be automatically generated in the Assessment and Plan portion of the progress note.
Follow Up Icon:
The Follow Up Icon can be found on the right side of the progress note or within the physical exam (tap on gear icon). When you tap on this icon you can see any follow ups that have been generated from the treatment plan and you can also create a new follow up by selecting "Add New...". You will be prompted to add a Follow Up or a Reminder/To Do. You can then choose when the follow up is for and add a free text note if need be.
