Often patients come into the office with prescription changes or the provider decides to change the medication that they are currently on. How can you document this in the patient's chart through EZDERM?
1. Log into the patient's chart through your EHR, go to the patient's progress note, and tap on the Rx bowl icon in the sidebar.
2. Choose the clock icon in the upper left-hand corner of the screen. This will pull up a list of all of the medications previously prescribed to that patient through EZDERM.
3. Select which medications the patient is no longer taking, and then tap on the share button in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
4. A drop-down will appear that says "Continue" or "Discontinue." Click "Discontinue." You will then be prompted to choose a reason why this medication is being stopped.
5. Once the reason has been chosen, the medication that you choose will then move over into the "Not Taking" tab.
6. If you click on the red "i" in line with that medication, you will be shown the reason why it was discontinued and when it was stopped.
