1. To edit existing Normal Exams or to create new ones, you will need to access the Linear Exam screen in one of two ways:
a) From within the Progress Note, click and hold the blue Physical Exam icon in the right-hand icon sidebar and tap the option for Linear Exam
b) From within the Physical Exam screen, tap the Linear Exam icon in the bottom toolbar
2. Tap on the folder in the upper left-hand corner to select which exam you would like to edit (if it is not selected already).
4. Tap on the sections you would like to edit and tap in the white text box to start typing or to edit existing text. For sections that have the red "i" such as "Skin", you will be shown additional fields to edit when you tap on the "i"
5. Once you are done editing, tap the share icon (square with the upward arrow) and select whether you want to update the current Normal Exam template you are editing or save it as a completely new exam.
6. If you select Save As New Normal Exam, it will ask you to enter a name for the new template. You will then have this template as a new Normal Exam option moving forward.
Note: The Default normal exam is blank, so if you ever add a normal exam but then want to erase it from the progress note, simply apply the Default exam. This will bring the E&M coding back down for the Physical Exam section of the note. If you just manually erase the text, the system will still code as if a normal exam was applied.
