TO EDIT OR DELETE FAVORITE PRESCRIPTIONS:
A provider can edit or delete their Favorite Prescriptions from within the EHR by going to Settings > My Profile > Favorite Prescriptions. Tap on a prescription to edit its details or swipe from right to left over the name of a prescription to get the option to delete it.
TO ADD FAVORITE PRESCRIPTIONS:
In order to add a new favorite prescription, you will need to be in the Progress Note of a patient. If you are new to the system, create a test patient to build up your favorite prescriptions list. Get to the medications screen either from the right-hand sidebar by tapping on the Rx Bowl icon, or from within the Physical Exam tap the Rx Bowl icon.
Once you are on the Medications screen, tap on the green "+" icon in the upper left-hand side of the screen and enter the details of the prescription. Once completed, scroll to the bottom and click "Add to Favorite." You will receive a confirmation pop-up one the prescription has been added. Click Done if you would to actually prescribe the medication or cancel just to enter it to favorites.
TO ACCESS AND USE YOUR FAVORITE PRESCRIPTIONS:
When documenting during a patient visit, you can access your list of Favorite Prescriptions from the Rx screen by clicking the green "+" icon (as if you were going to write out a new prescription). When you click the "Name" field to search for the name of the Rx, you can elect to search the entire Surescripts drug database (pill icon) or from your list of favorite prescriptions (pill icon with a star). Once you toggle over to the medication icon with the star, start typing to search from your favorites list.
